It is sparsely decorated and cardboard boxes line the walls. The hallway doesn’t give much insight into his captors. Even Lloyd is still learning to roll with the punches. To be fair, things don’t usually make sense when you’re the green ninja. Nothing about this really makes any sense. What could have happened between then and now? He doesn’t remember another fight. The last thing he can recall is his fight against the Grundle. He can’t imagine what else could’ve happened. Does his head hurt because this villain guy hit his head really hard to knock him out? Yeah, that must be it. He must have had some weird dreams last night. He imagines strange things, dream-like things, visions of bright cyclones and perfect gardens. Lloyd lets out a quiet whimper, trying not to make too much noise. If anything, it kind of looks like the photos of the Monastery that Wu used to show him during downtime on the Bounty.Ī sudden pain spikes in his head. Lloyd steps out into the hall and comes to a stop. The door is probably locked, but no one seems to be in the building, so he doesn’t see why he can’t try. No one has passed by to check on his cell in several minutes! Who even is this bad guy? He clearly slept through his prisoner management lessons. For an evil fortress, this place isn’t very well-guarded. You’re never supposed to mess with the hero’s ‘fit! Even by evil villain standards, this is extremely uncalled for. He’s never had a bad guy just take his clothes before. Ugh-speaking of clothes, his captors seem to have stolen his green ninja gi and replaced it with very oversized pyjamas. How can he be certain that he wasn’t kidnapped by giants? Everything in this room makes him feel small. There are clothes in the dresser, but they seem to be too big for him, so he doesn’t look through them too much. The rest of the room is white and brown and green, and Lloyd is pretty sure that it used to be someone’s bedroom. The bed is a little too big for him, but it’s comfortable, and he likes the green sheets he woke up in less than an hour ago. It’s a pretty nice prison cell, all things considered. Can’t he catch a break for once in his life? At this point, he’s pretty convinced that he’s going to spend a third of his life locked in various small rooms against his will. Welp, it’s official: Lloyd’s been kidnapped.Īgain. Chapter one is now available as a podfic! Click here to listen.
